After another exciting week of NFL Football, us fans have been left satisfied with what we have seen so far(Unless you're a Cowboys fan...). There were some tough losses last week for a lot of major franchises looking to make a playoff run. The playoff seeding is beginning to shape up with only 10 weeks to go. Personally my favorite game of the past week was the classic Brady vs Rodgers matchup. For some reason I bet against the G.O.A.T and he made me pay for it. For this upcoming week I totally expect another great week of football with great matchups all over the league and I know I'm not the only one hype for trade deadline coming up. Lets get into week 7!
Thursday Night Football on Fox @ 8:20
New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles(-3.5) Eagles 21, Giants 10
I love this matchup this week, despite the poor play from both sides . Even with recent struggles, I think the Eagles will rally to defeat a tanking Giants squad. If the offensive line issues can be fixed this week, Eagles QB Carson Wentz should have all day to throw to his no name receivers in Travis Fulgham and Greg Ward Jr. I expect the Giants and Daniel Jones to put up a little bit of a fight, however the Eagles should be able to cleanly and hopefully easily win this matchup.
Sunday, 1 PM Games
Detroit Lions @ Atlanta Falcons(-2.5) Falcons 24, Lions 20
This will be one close game from start to finish, I expect a lot of movement through the air from both squads. The Falcons have been extremely disappointing for all of the offensive production they have produced. The Lions have simply been average, there has not been anything exciting about the squad. I think Matt Ryan will be able to rally the guys and get this Falcons team back on track.
Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets(+12.5) Bills 31, Jets 13
If any game will be a slaughter it will be this one. The Bills are one of the most highly thought of teams this season on both offense and defense. The Jets on the other hand are a dumpster fire that cannot seem to be put out. MVP candidate Josh Allen, should have a strong performance against this weak Jets defense. Bills should and will easily cover the spread this week.
Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals(+3.5) Browns 24, Bengals 17
As impressive Rookie QB Joe Burrow has been in his first season, I don't believe that he has all of the necessary pieces around him to succeed. With both John Roos and A.J. Green expressing their displeasure with the franchise, its best to let them walk and find others who can elevate Burrow’s play. Baker and the Browns too have their own chemistry issues, however with as much talent as they have they should be able to win this game.
Dallas Cowboys @ Washington(+3.5) Washington 21, Cowboys 17
The Cowboys are on the verge of failure this season, with no Dak Prescott the likelihood that the Cowboys are contenders this season are non-existent. With an embarrassing defeat to the Arizona Cardinals, I think they will get beat again by the pitiful Washington team. Kyle Allen is beginning to find his footing and I believe that he can and will lead Washington to their first win in five weeks.
Green Bay Packers @ Houston Texans(+3.5) Packers 24, Texans 17
I believe Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will bounce back and win against a struggling Texans team. Aaron had an off night against the Buccaneers, however I expect him to get back in the MVP race with a stellar performance in this game. The Texans are in a really tough spot at the moment, and I don't see a realistic way out this season. Watson is a great QB who has a franchise that is failing him. Packers win and cover the spread.
Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints(-7.5) Saints 24, Panthers 21
In this matchup I am gonna take the Saints to come away with a win this week, however this will be a very tight contest from start to finish. Drew Brees has struggled with the absence of Michael Thomas, however with him hopefully back in the line-up the Saints will be able to get the chains moving. Teddy Bridgewater has had a decent season so far. He has shown that he has the ability to light up defenses and has placed the Panthers in good positions to win each and every game. Even though I have the Saints winning, I'll take the Panthers in the spread bet.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Tennessee Titans(+2.5) Titans 24, Steelers 21
This matchup will consist of two of the three undefeated teams in the NFL and one will go home holding a flaming hot L. The Steelers have played clean football all season long and have shown to have the capabilities of scorching secondary's with their young receiving core. The Titans on the other hand have scorched defenses through their aggressive running game with Derrick Henry. I think it will be a strategic chess match between both Head Coaches in Mike Tomlin and Mike Vrabel. I'll take the Titans to remain undefeated this week, while winning the spread.
Sunday, 4 PM Games
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Las Vegas Raiders(+2.5) Buccaneers 31, Raiders 27
Tom Brady has looked a lot better in recent weeks with a significant amount of chemistry gained with his all pro wide outs. And just yesterday it was made official that Tom Brady's old teammate in New England Antonio Brown will be joining the squad after his suspension ends in week 8. I think Brady and Arians will dissect the Raiders defense to shreds and this should be a methodical win for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Derek Carr has played well and has impressed many across the league with his precision in the passing game. Carr will be able to keep the Raiders in the game, but he won't be able to do enough to carry them over the hump. This will be one of the games of the week, I have no doubt about that.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos(+8.5) Chiefs 35, Broncos 17
This game will be one of the biggest blowouts this week. The Chiefs are the clear and heavy favorites. I expect to see a lot of Le'Veon Bell in this game, in order to catch him up with the new system. This Chiefs offense is really scary. Lord have mercy on the souls that need to face them in coming weeks. The Broncos will have an extremely hard time trying to stop Patrick Mahomes and the gang. The Broncos have been hit pretty badly with the injury bug this year, if they were at full strength perhaps they would pose a threat. I’ll take the Chiefs to win by a massive margin in this one. This is the Queen Sports Realms lock of the week!
San Francisco 49ers @ New England Patriots(-2.5) Patriots 26, 49ers 23
With Cam Newton working his way back into his flow in New England, I think he and Bill Belichick will prepare a game plan that will be very solid in defeating the injury riddled 49ers. Newton can make plays all over with his arm and his legs. So far the trial has been semi successful. And with a win here this can place them back at a 3-3 for the season. The 49ers only hope is that Jimmy Garoppolo can carry this team for all 4 quarters. I know Bill Belichick knows his former QB’s flaws and will seek to take advantage of them. Patriots will win in what will be very close from start to finish.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Los Angeles Chargers(-8.5) Jaguars 24, Chargers 21
Justin Herbert has been extremely impressive this season. He has shown that he definitely has the ability to be a franchise QB in this league. I think the Chargers have a real future with him at the helm. This Chargers team has a lot of talent and can keep up with many of the leagues best. However, this Sunday I’m gonna roll with Gardner Minshew and the Jaguars. The NFL now has some tape of some of Herbert's tendencies and I belive the Jags will take advantage of the rookie. For the Jags, Minshew is playing for his job next season and I think for that to happen he is going to have to pull out some wins down the stretch. I’ll give this win to the Jaguars.
Sunday Night Football on NBC @ 8:20 PM
Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals(+3.5) Seahawks 34, Cardinals 24
Russell Wilson has led this team atop the tough NFC West, and I don’t see him losing in this key matchup against the Cardinals. Wilson has clearly set himself apart from all other QBs this season and has made it his mission to return the Seahawks to championship glory. He will be facing second year QB Kyler Murray who embodies many of the traits of a Russell Wilson. Kyler can make any throw from anywhere on the field. While his arm is dangerous, his feet are something teams must always be prepared for. In this matchup I’ll take the Seahawks to remain undefeated.
Monday Night Football on ESPN, @ 8:15 PM
Chicago Bears @ Los Angeles Rams(-5.5) Bears 24, Rams 21
This too will be a game to watch out for this week. The Rams have been pretty consistent this season. They also have had a considerably hard schedule, so coming out at 4-2 is not half bad. The Bears have been winning by the skin of their teeth in every game. Sooner or later they will be forced to actually win games by being the better team. With Nick Foles at the helm anything is possible. Because I will never bet against Nick Foles a day in my life, I’ll select the Chicago Bears to win this week, ultimately winning the spread bet. This is the Queen Sports Realms upset of the week!
